I hadn't bothered to watch the link until just now...and I don't get it. She's not terribly good. First off, her vibrato is wretched, her tone and timbre are fairly ear grating. Is it the contrast of her homeliness? Is it generally thought that only attractive people can sing? As someone who has spent a lot of time around female singers ten times her quality, I can safely say that looks don't enter into it. The guy singer has some potential. But he needs to work on his breath support; he couldn't project that voice into an opera hall where they do not use microphones. At least the dancers were funny. It's great because each night they are focusing on a different aspect of why we should be hopeful for Armageddon. I considered going just for fun and so I could make fun of them. I do believe they are the last remnants of the Millerite movement and they are fairly main stream really...considering the silliness of the whole thing. Great Disappointment indeed! They have incidentally co-opted the HOPE signage design from a certain presidential campaign, a campaign they no doubt worked against. I HOPE they are wrong...
